Set the boundary
Define the agent's budget, period, merchant categories, and card type. Choose its oversight: confirm every payment, approve above a threshold, or run within a pre-approved scope.
Issue the card
The agent requests a card via API, MCP, or CLI, or the accountable user issues one in the app. Card details arrive through a secure channel, built on the card schemes' agent frameworks (Visa Intelligent Commerce, Mastercard Agent Pay).
The agent pays inside the rules
Limits are checked at authorization, and anything outside them is declined before money moves. Where a card doesn't fit, the agent prepares the transfer and the user confirms it.
Every payment is recorded
Each transaction shows the agent, the user, and the budget, and flows into your existing exports. Revoke access in one action.
Where agentic payments fit
The agent books the hotel or rail and pays the supplier with a single-use card for that booking. The card expires afterward.
