RMC Service GmbH provides specialised mobility solutions for companies of all sizes. Their offering includes fuel cards for business and private customers, toll services, telematics, and fleet management. The goal: making mobility more efficient and economical. To develop a tailored credit card solution, RMC turned to Pliant with clear technical and operational requirements. The result had to work via API, integrate into existing workflows, and run without any added apps.

Challenge: More payment flexibility, no disruption

RMC supports large fleets across Europe with a full suite of services. At trade shows, more and more customers raised concerns about drivers carrying large amounts of cash. Fines, repairs, hotel stays shouldn’t have to be paid in cash anymore.

But equally important: any new solution had to fit seamlessly into existing processes. No new apps. No new tools. No change to how staff and systems already operate.

RMC needed a payment solution that matched its flexible infrastructure.

Solution: Full integration via API

Pliant delivered exactly what RMC needed. The credit card was integrated into their existing systems via API. Branded with the RMC logo, the cards can be managed by customers themselves.

Each customer has a pre-funded account. Money is instantly available and can be allocated to specific cards with individual spending limits. If a driver needs more funds, the balance is updated in real time.

All transactions are visible in the RMC portal. Drivers and accountants don’t need to upload receipts or install any apps. Everything works in the background and is efficient and easy to control.

Cash on the road used to be a security issue and is now a modern digital payment process. Thanks to Pliant’s API-integration, RMC can offer its fleet customers a flexible, secure credit card that fits seamlessly into their day-to-day business.
