Berlin, 1 February 2022. Getting started with climate protection is a major challenge for companies that have many fixed processes. Creditreform has been accompanying this entry into climate protection with its CrefoGreen team for almost two years. The move to the newly built and modern Neuss headquarters has continued this own transformation process, along with many other measures. In his constant search for further simple options, Stephan Vila, Managing Director of the two Creditreform subsidiaries Boniversum and microm, soon realised: "A major lever for sustainable action in our company is the business travel required for operational purposes. And so we are pleased that pliant and Cozero offer a particularly simple solution here, with no effort and no cost to measure and offset CO2."
In July 2021, pliant, provider of a digital corporate credit card solution, had launched the new function pliant earth in cooperation with Cozero. This function enables a simple estimation of CO2 emissions based on travel-related card expenses as well as an automatic and free compensation of the emissions.
"A company's carbon footprint is based on a multitude of transactions along the entire value chain. Environmental management usually runs completely independently," says Helen Tacke, CEO and founder of Cozero. "With the help of Cozero, we link both sides and offer an easy entry point for companies. We are very pleased to welcome two companies from the Creditreform Group as customers shortly after the launch. We see established companies as pioneers for a long overdue, sustainable change," adds Malte Rau, CEO and founder of pliant.
Cozero and pliant plan to further expand the partnership: this includes, among other things, the mapping of climate-friendly travel policies at credit card level as well as a real-time exchange of transaction data between pliant and the CO2 accounting tool, similar to an accounting integration.
Cozero enables companies to effectively decarbonise and thus sustainably transform their business, taking into account the financial and economic implications. At its heart is a software solution that digitally records the carbon footprint of the entire value chain and analyses it using AI. Using an impact analysis and investment calculation based on the emissions data, optimisation measures are then introduced with the involvement of all stakeholders. Further information: www.cozero.io
pliant offers businesses the digital credit card solution for maximum flexibility and savings: fully digital card and receipt management, pliant app as well as physical and virtual cards including attractive cashbacks - seamless integration into existing financial processes and accounting systems guaranteed. The company was founded in 2020 by FinTech veterans Malte Rau and Fabian Terner in Berlin. Since 2022, companies in Austria can also benefit from pliant corporate credit cards.
